Can anyone ID this first Dennis Bovell track?

The Album sounds like it'll be good. I don't buy much vinyl anymore but this is on my Christmas list to santa!

Those tracks sound amazing, the third one reminds me of Joshua Moses Home, I’ll definitely be looking into that cd or album, is it available yet , it was mentioned on reggaeville but I haven’t seen it

Yeah, it's sounding good. I always like Dennis Bovell. Available from 15th November.

This got me looking at his new album , so I listened to The Essential Anthology again and being a big Matumbi follower from when they first started I also looked at what Dennis Bovell had produced , I recognised that first track but from a remix, I think this is the original from when he was in Matumbi  but doing other things at the same time, as he went under a few different names like 4th Street Orchestra, African Stone, Dennis Matumbi,

the one I’d like to hear is his dub version of Joshua Moses Africa,

here’s a few of his others

and here’s another which is probably better known as A Little Way Different, probably one of my favourite Basslines

and dubwise ,around 77  the B side of blood ah go run

Great video here of Third World and dancing on the floor, a classic track that I remember well, pretty sure it’s Richard Daley on bass But I don’t recall seeing that bass , any idea what it is, looks like it’s got 2 precision pickups

Nice one ez, thank you, I think you’re right as the headstock looks the same, quite a cool bass

I’m pretty sure Bernard Edwards and Skeet Curtis used them too.

Great stuff. He deserves more recognition, I'd go so far to say that in my books he's the greatest UK reggae artist of all time.

Been going through quite a few albums by Culture lately and even though it’s probably one of the most popular by them it’s still a favourite of mine, lovely Bassline by Ranchi McLean

and this is a lovely song by Joseph Hill
