Good tune, strangely I don’t think I’ve heard that before, apparently dem a sus was about the stop and search laws at the time

Surprised you've not come across it, but maybe you kind of had to be there, don't know how widely distributed it was...

Yep the "Sus" laws, look it up, it was basically they could pull you if they "suspected" you for pretty much anything, so a kind of blank cheque really

Nice one t-h , I was listening to the original of guess who’s coming to dinner today by Michael Rose before it was recorded with sly and Robbie, titled Dreadlocks coming to dinner

The new one from Alain M, 25 reggae basslines part 2, he’s the bass player in Asham Band in Belgium , great player , now to name them all

Stumbled across 'Rocket to Kingston' by 'Bobby Ramone' the other day. What do reggae aficionados think of this?

If you don't know about this album, the clue is in Bob Marley's face pasted over that of Dee Dee Ramone...

It's a bit of fun, there were quite a few of those incongruous mash up type "bands" in the '00s like hayseed dixie (AcDc played on banjos) and heavy metal ABBA and that kind of thing 😁

I skipped through the tracks and I’m afraid it’s not a bit of me, but I can see how a ramone/ reggae fan might like it 🙂, didn’t the clash have a reggae album

This one is a little different but I like the way the Bassline goes

and Street Lover by the Morwells, not exactly sure if it’s Flabba playing here but he was in the band around this time , sounds like him

If you’re stuck for something to listen to I can recommend the album Jerusalem by Alpha Blondy, it’s a mixture of different song styles and Aston Barrett on bass, i like this one
