** Apparently the guitar dater project is inaccurate, my bass was made in 2002-2004. Apologies I went by the info on said site**

Makes no difference, it's still a mint bass.

Hi all,

This is my immaculate Pink Paisley bass, it dates to 2002 - 2004. There are no marks, dings etc' just a lovely example of this bass, hence the price.

It has reverse tuners and for the size of the single pickup it sounds immense.

It will come with a padded gigbag and delivery is included in the price.

If it doesn't sell I'll just keep it, thanks for looking.

Tom.

PS, I didn't take the pics looking like this.....

The only trade I'm interested in is a Stingray 2eq, maple board, 9lbs max. Must be excellent condition.

Will add cash for the right one.

Hi Tom. I think that seeing as I am a Paisley punter where the design came from, I reckon I should get a discount. 50% will do, I don`t want to be greedy

Seriously, it`s a beautiful bass. Good luck with the sale!

Sorry Jezza as a Paisley Buddie myself and as I showed interest before you I reckon the Paisley discount should be extended to me.😁 However, as Tom isn't daft we might as well come from Timbuktoo! By the way the pattern originally came from Kashmir but like a lot of things in Paisley it was stolen!😂

@triplebass  I think they paint it pink and then somehow lacquer the paisley transfer on? I may be wrong, I was wrong once in 1947....

Fender don't do them anymore, this is from 1993-4. Very rare beast nowadays and quite collectable..

Originally, the Paisley Fenders were covered with a piece of wallpaper. I think this was then coated, and the metallic purple burst was then sprayed, and the finish coat(s?) applied.

BTW, that's cultural appropriation right there! I'm officially offended on behalf of Paisley Buddies everywhere!

And don't nobody raise the matter of where Paisley nicked the Persian Boteh Mir motif from.

Oops.

Yes, it's a metallic paper that's glued on like wallpaper. It has a clear silver aspect to it. Then finished over. The burst is a pearl pink. On the originals from '68 the pink often ages to more of a gold with the lacquer yellowing.

I remember when the Paisley Tele came out.

Saw one being played by the support for a Hawkwind gig, apparently they have been reissued, but no signs of the bass returning.

Absolutely love these. I've decided to put my Jazz bass up for sale at the weekend so I'll see how it goes

I love single coil Precisions but really love the pink Paisley and blue Flower versions

There was a guitarist around Paisley

called John Morton I think

who played a pink

Paisley Tele

I don’t know what that means.

I spotted the stealth Limerick!
