phil.c60 Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 She most certainly does, and apparently she writes (or did) most of her songs using a bass, and if you listen to some of the lines (especially on her earlier stuff) they are great. Quote
ezbass Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 I do like some Joe Walsh in my day. Their voices work well together. 5 treble guitars seems a bit excessive though. 1 Quote
fleabag Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 (edited) Saw Crow at the Shepherds Bush Empire , London , a treat from my partner back then for my 40th. Utterly brilliant. Played both guitar and les paul style bass. Clapton - On - Sea came on in the 2nd half Edited January 16, 2020 by fleabag Quote

Ā Her first (& most famous) album was almost completely written (including bass parts) by the songwriting collective known as the Tuesday Night Music Club which featured Bill Bottrell, Kevin Gilbert (RIP) etc.... She has managed to take credit for it all and didn't even thank them on her Grammy speech. She doesn't have a great reputation thanks to this and a number of other similar events... 3 1 Quote

scrumpymike Posted January 16, 2020 Posted January 16, 2020 She's got a decent bass groove going there.Ā Only really know her first 2 albums but that that muddy, semi-acoustic, old-school bass tone works really well on those. Quote
