Introduction - Just Saying Hello

Hi All

Just saying Hello as I have just joined up. I have had a Westfield Bass for a few years now but so far not had the time due to reasons beyond my control at the time had chance to learn.

But this year 2009 I should with a bit of luck have a lot more time to myself to get stuck in so to speak. A few weeks ago I treated myself to one of the 60s Vintage Hofner Copy - Westfield VB960 - Semi Acoustic Bass www.westfieldguitar.co.uk/westfield/products.asp?ID=158 I play it through my Peavey 50W Practice Amp, has a really nice tone to it and ideal for playing all those classic 60s records that featured the classic Hofner sound.

Anyhow thats all from me and my introduction thanks to Ian from Rock Band 'Half Monty' for telling me about this forum.

I really love my ol' 78`Fender JB and play mostly old school funk and soul. I play it through my Ampeg SVT and a SVT 410HE cabinet - a strong and warm sound - real pleasure! That's all for now.
