stonecoldbass Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 Glasgow/central scotland bass bash is a great idea. Let's do it. Where should we start a thread? Is there any way of doing a search on folk who live up here and send them invites.....moderators?? c PS - I'm gonna pop round real soon for some coffee, random bass chat and maybe a spank of the old 9 stringer!! endorka Posted February 1, 2009 Posted February 1, 2009 A Glasgow gathering definitely sounds like a good idea! Jennifer Quote
Hutton Posted February 2, 2009 Posted February 2, 2009 I was over at Mark's today for my bass lesson and got to see this beautiful bass in the flesh. A very high quality instrument which would certainly make me consider an ACG. BTW the lessons are high quality as well! Quote
D-COOPER Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Hi folks.Id absolutely be up for a Scottish bass meet!!Hi 7string.Love the ACG. Quote
skelf Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 (edited) If no one is interested in sorting out a Glasgow bash I could sort out something in Moffat if there was enough interest. A Scotland North of England bash. Alan Edited February 4, 2009 by skelf Quote
d-basser Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Can anyone think of anywhere in Glasgow to hold such an event? Also I played the 9 last night. as always these things are even more beautiful in the flesh/wood. Played lovely, no were near as hard to play as I think alot of you expect. Quote
stonecoldbass Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 OOh, a wee trip doon tae moffat might be just the thing! Heh, But seriosuly Skelf a Scottish/North England bash would be grand if you fancy getting the ball rolling? c Quote
skelf Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I will have a look at what is available venue wise over the next few days and report back. Alan Quote
skelf Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Right. One swift phone call later and I have a possible venue. The old well theatre in Moffat. Stage in the theatre and a seated area next to it. Reasonable distance from other people so noise not to much of an issue. I can get it at charity rates which saves a bit of cash parking in front of the building afternoon let should be no problem. Let me know what you think and if this is of interest we should start a thread up and try to get an idea of a date. eude Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Alan, that's an awesome idea mate! Don't think it'd be very easy to get anywhere in Glasgow or Edinburgh for "charity rates" on a weekend! Cheers, Eude Quote
skelf Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Thread started on the subject. Bash thread Quote
