beerdragon
In the covers band i'm in we do the Dandy warhols Bohemian lke you its a easy song to do and found i can strum the notes although i'm still hitting an odd string which i'm not supposed to be hitting, this has a more visual effect than anything else but i enjoy doing it, anyone else use this technique and got any tips. ta. Alun
Best way is to mute the unwanted strings with your fretting hand, then you can strum all four (or more) strings and only hear the note you want. It is possible to strum with shorter movements and be more precise but it does look a lot cooler to have wide extravagent strums so muting is the key. Muse_Cubed
I occasionally use flamenco style finger flicks (catching the fingernails)...Since I use the travelling thumb on the B/E/A strings I don't tend to hit unwanted low notes which helps.
