BassApprentice
So first Sire go and release a shorty PJ and now Sandberg are throwing their hat in the ring. Definitely spoilt for choice if you're looking for a short scale this year! https://www.notreble.com/buzz/2020/01/19/sandberg-guitars-announces-the-lionel-short-scale-bass/ Edited January 20, 2020 by BassApprentice
burno70
Love the blue one! Have a short scale with jazz pups and would love another with precision pups - this could be the one!
Adee
Sandberg have always offered a 32.5" option (for an extra £250), I was told this was the optimal shorter scale!? Good to see them finally offering a 30"
fretmeister
I like that. Wonder how much it will cost.
BassApprentice
I'm going to guess around £900 retail for these. Not really sure what I'm basing that on but seems good 😅

Good to see them finally offering a 30" Well I didn’t know that. I really like the VS4 model but am set on 32” (or less) thesedays. They don’t advertise their 32.5” scale option much! Quite interested in these shorties...

scrumpymike
Short-scale Sterling by MM Stingray also announced! That looks very nice but likely to be around £2k - which is the price a near-new personal import is up for on here. Don't forget the various Maruszczyk s-s basses that have been on offer for a while btw!
Stub Mandrel
Is anyone seriously going to buy a bass called Lionel? Is that Bart, Blair or Barrymore?
