flip Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Hey folks, I've been musing over selling my old Ashdown ABM 500 but I have no idea what to ask for it! It's one of the original EVO's which I've owned for around 7 or 8 years now, it's an amazing sounding amp that's never let me down, but I'm thinking of getting something a bit smaller. Basically it seems to be getting heavier and I'm getting wussier with age! I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question, I didn't want to put it in the for sale section as I haven't convinced myself to sell it yet, but if anyone has any idea of it's worth then please let me know... Many thanks! Quote
acidbass Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 I think they're generally held in higher regard than the new models, as they were all built in the UK back in the days when Ashdown had seemingly better quality control. As far as worth is concerned - they will probably go for less on eBay due to being older, but I'd imagine that any bass player in the know would give you a good price for it! Quote
Mr Fudge Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 When I upgraded to a markbass head I kept my Ashdown as a spare. A luxury I haven't been able to afford in the past. I am always safe in the knowledge that I have a cracking back up if needed. Quote
Boneless Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 You know what you should do? Start raving about it on the forums, then in a couple of months, gracefully put it for sale somewhere Just joking Quote
