stewblack
My absolute favourite styles of bass to play are ska and heavy rock. What is that all about?
mikel
Funk and reggae for me. I am not that keen on listening to Funk, but love playing it.

Newfoundfreedom
Weirdly, I love a good rock ballad. Nothing clever, nothing noodley, just the bass providing solid bottom end underneath guitar chords. Cat Burrito
It probably changes to suit my mood but right now I like something with a bit of a punk angle. Not punk as in "can't play" but with that urgency to what is played.
CameronJ
Soul/Neo Soul for me all day long. But enjoy playing a bit of metal sometimes as I find it to be a completely different (and fun) technical challenge!
chris_b
No limits. I enjoy playing anything and everything. Even stuff I wouldn't normally listen to. Making music has always been the only priority.

Others might be fine with limiting their playing opportunities but I like playing as many different styles with as many different musicians as I can. I was asked to learn some Beyoncé, Jesse Jay and a couple of others, who I'd never heard of. On the gig, a wedding, I just loved playing those songs. Bilbo
I play Jazz 99%of the time but would love to specialise in Latin music, Brazilian or Cuban, or play in a decent Prog band. Never really get to do either.
lozkerr
Most things apart from funk and jizz, although heavy rock and post-punk are ahead of the field.
