Recently imigrated and looking to get into the scene (Epping)

Hi all,

I moved to the UK from South Africa 7 months ago and it's time I got out and met musos and got a feel for the scene.  I am based in Epping, and can get carted around a little (still waiting to sort my UK drivers out).  Where is the best place for me to start?  I have spent a lot of time getting established in original and cover bands back in SA, and got a decent reputation as a reliable dep and function band member - I also do backing vocals if required).

Where, how, when, where?  Any help would be terrific!  Thanks in advance.
