Red silk at headstock. 

Tapered B, E and A strings

Do they have silks at both ends?

Silks are more pink than red.

Could they be GHS contact core?

Hasn't got the ball and cup design, has convention ball ends.

Ah, true.

GHS then, contact core or actually look like progressives at the bridge end. But I can't Google anything about silk colours.

I've come to the conclusion they are not for me. 

They are now off the bass.
