Im currently in the middle of deciding what new head to get for my rig. I currently own a Ashdown Mag 300 (had it for about 2 years) and Ive had a couple of problems with it (mainly having to replace blown fuses at the completely wrong times) and now the transformer has gone and trying to get a new one from them is like drawing blood from a stone.

So anyway....

Ive been looking at the Ampeg ranges (mainly the SVT PRO 3 due to my budget)

But im interested in finding out more about the Markbass range, does any1 have any info?

It would be cheaper to scrub Ashdown (the company) altogether and get an amp repair shop to replace the transformer. But, in my opinion, Markbass amps are loud and have a great tone. You could try a used LM11 for about £400. Markbass are popular so you should be able to easily sell it again if you don't like it.

Replaced my Ashdown ABM EvoII 300 with a MB LMII. Couldn't be more pleased, more powerful, smaller, lighter and just as toneful. I did miss not having a mute function but sorted that out with a Korg Pitchblack tuner.

I dont have much of an opinion on MB other than the amps appear to be more popular than the cabs. There is already an identical thread running so it might be worth trying the search facility.
