Jimelliottbassist
Just got my hands on a aguilar gs412 cab wondered what the best type of head for it would be? Ampeg or GK? Playing a US fender precision. Any ideas?? Edited February 2, 2009 by Jimelliottbassist

Blink
I have a GS410 and use a MarkBass Little Mark and it sounds great. I regularly gig in a 6 piece band, with no pa support, and the combination is plenty loud enough with the volume at 4!!!!!!! I have used the Little Mark with the GS412 in a Shop (Bass Merchant) and it sounded good but I could not crank up the volume. Nick

The delicious irony of Spinal Tap, who are louder than any other band cos all their amps go up to 11, is that so many basschatters think it is significant. alexclaber
The joy of having a cab that large and thus that high in sensitivity is that you can drive it with cheap low powered heads and it will still be able to go very loud. The world is your oyster! Alex
Mr. Foxen
Just one GS412? Meh. They sound fine with pretty much anything. That Marshall valve head in trade in particular.

joegarcia
Awesome cabs. I have two. I use one with a Sunn 1200s and one with a Marshall JCM800 Bass Series. Really nice having a big amp to really drive it effortlessly with loads of headroom and the Marshall to run hot with valve breakup.
