Not quite sure how to describe this bass, but I suppose the best description would be

" similar in concept to a '62 replica Limelite  "

Built by a guy named Alan Knight, known more for his distressed guitar replica's, but he sure knows how to build a winner . It simply play's itself , sounds great, and for the benefit of those ( of us ) with a bad back, really light and well balanced. You do have to be into " heavy relic" to appreciate it's looks, but this is the bass that first made me realise that distressed and relic'd can look good. It's Worth noting that the Fender logo on the headstock is for effect, this is not a Fender product. I have no info on the pickups, just know they sound good. Best to check over the pics for any further info. Collection only from Worthing or Chichester, and no trades, thank you.

Looks like my old one, seriously miss that bass.

Any trades, got some mark bass traveler cabs.

Would love to get this back.

Any MB 2x10’s - could help fund your jazz here 😊

Lovely looking relic'd Jazz.

Do you know much about the construction process - is it assembled from parts and then relic'd or does Alan luthier any of parts himself?

I think with limelights the body's are made but they use allparts necks?

HI Sunfish,

Apologies for late reply . Circa 8 pounds.

However, I've decided it would be a mistake to sell it, so have withdrawn .

Yup. I guess it's a try and find another like it sort of instrument.

Hope you're well Mike ?

Muddling Along.

The trace 18" cab from you on a little floor 2.5 foot tall isolator platform that I knocked up (neighbours). My home practice favourite with my CTM30.

The Audere preamp is going great guns in a now nicely tidied up KSD J605 left handed. Does a really nice jazz thing with black tapewounds. Suspect one of the pick-ups is a bit fritzed so may hunt out some substitutes.

When I win the lottery tomorrow I'll be after some Trace valvey stuff better get a ticket.

Doubtless this thread'zll be locked shortly have a good evng Mike

We used to have a keep called Allen McKnight. His nickname was "McKnightmare" for obvious reason. He was dire.

Liverpudlians had "Calamity" James.
