Feck knows what's going on...

I've no ‘moji reactions left... (Spunked them all out, over these many great musical suggestions...) It's as though the mods get pleasure from controlling how much one can react... Well!!! I can still use symbols to create faces!!!

🙂

You'll never take that away from me!!

...and then this...

(Can't seem to find the Red Hot Chilli Peppers link, but...)

That guitar intro riff is completely ripped off by Flea on rhcp-around the world!!!...

Anyone?!.   No?!... Anyone?...

“Shame on you Flea, shame!!"

Wow, yes... I wonder whether he did it as a tongue in cheek homage?

No more TLRT's.

Love Budgie too. Very ramjamesque sounding and built. Reminds me also of Randy California's Spirit. Who was there first ?

According to Wiki  both Budgie and Spirit were formed in 1967 ...so it seems it was a draw😀

Yes, that's Julian Cope with The Teardrop Explodes. Saw them in the 80's, but have seen Julian Cope many times for the Saint Julian tour. He wasn't playing bass on stage anymore, except for some Teardrop Explodes tunes when he played the bass, ... because he was climbing everywhere...

Remember this :

Mr Burke Shelly  of the band , Budgie Ladies and gentlemen

Totally agree - hence why I quoted them on the Bands You've Seen thread....Budgie supported Uriah Heep and they blew them away...I concur young man...

Since we're doing pics and vids, here's Emerson Lake and Palmer's last bit of "Karn Evil 9", called "3rd Impression", live in 1974, with aforementioned Greg Lake on bass and throat.
Me, I lurves it despite Emerson's eternal sloppy playing.

Here's one for current-gen prog fans - Mariusz Duda from Riverside:

Have done the lead vox/bass thing myself in a couple of bands, always satisfying to nail both parts without compromising either.

Unfortunately no video evidence exists (at least not in a digital format) to back up these claims. Plus I have a rubbish voice.

Justin Currie - Del Amitri

Tyson Ritter - All American Rejects

Pete Cetera and Jason Scheff - Chicago

Tal Wilkenfeld - Solo stuff

Troy Sanders - Mastodon

Brian Wilson - The Beach Boys

Kip Winger - Winger
