bubinga5
I love this record... Its a great record on its own. His bass playing and singing are just fabulous. Paul must have listened to James Jamerson for the way he played those lines maybe.?
DaveFry
You know the octave scale run up in " Maybe I'm Amazed " ? I guess a left-handed person writing on a piano would come up with that .
EMG456
To me the line seems pure McCartney. I’ve no doubt that Paul was well aware of Jameson and many others but I think in terms of writing, composition and playing at that time, he was his own man. And agreed- great song and line!
Lozz196
Yep, great bass line, Macca was/is a seriously good bassist, much more complex & melodic than given credit for.

Bassfinger
It is a great record. Makes up for his dire bass playing on Rubber Soul.

Shaggy
Always liked Wings, and Macca's melodic bass playing on anything he does. This is my personal favourite that tends to get missed off "Best of" compilations - takes me back to listening to it on the jukebox with some friends from school in an Ambleside pub in the late '70's...…..(easy to get served underage in those days ) Edited February 9, 2020 by Shaggy
