TheGreek Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 Link flashed up when I was viewing another site. A bit Harmann-ish - a certain Dave Swift features in the gallery. https://www.wilcocklondon.com/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIi5DsmbrE5wIVBIp3Ch300AQREAEYASAAEgLftvD_BwE 1 Quote
Heathy Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 I do like the look of these. Thanks for inducing a GAS attack. 2 Quote
Maude Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 That vintage white Mullarkey is lovely, starts at £1500 though. Quote
MrCrane Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 My daughter and I had a try out of these at the LBGS. Really rather nice. The pickups on the ones we tried were monstrous. Quote
Reggaebass Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 I really like these, They are not far from me, you rarely see one used for sale Quote
Reggaebass Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 Someone on here has got a really nice white one, I can’t remember who it was Quote
4000 Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 Keep meaning to try these. Rob Mullarkey played with Zero 7, one of my favourite bands. Quote
fleabag Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 Is that white bass a short scale ? Looks awfully stubby for a 34 Quote

toneknob Posted March 8, 2020 Posted March 8, 2020 Saw Tim Lefebvre playing a BiSonic at the Vortex last night. Had a chat in the interval with him and Mister Wilcock about his basses, and the 60s-English influence of Harmann, Burns Shergold etc (I'm a fan of the latter and enjoyed the Marathon-esque look of the BiSonic). Lovely basses! 1 Quote

Lovely basses! He played the BiSonic with Wayne Krantz at Ronnie Scott's last month too. Super looking basses, and they do long scale models now as well. Slight thread derail but how was the gig? JZ Replacement was one of my favourite gigs last year, but I couldn't make this one. Quote

Wish I'd known about the Krantz gig. Who else was in the line-up? JZ was brilliant, thanks. Mostly material from the new album. I was lucky enough to get a ringside seat, front and centre. Jamie and Tim are a powerhouse. edit: and to add to that, I've seen Tim Lefeb a couple of times before but only last night was I up close enough to appreciate his control of a Electro-Harmonix Frequency Analyzer with toe power alone Edited March 8, 2020 by toneknob Quote

Owno Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 The Wilcock basses look absolutely stunning. How do they compare to Sereks? Does anyone have a Mullarkey for sale, by any chance? Quote
Dazed Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 I think I saw a red Mullarkey on eBay recently. Quote
Dazed Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 Yep it’s still there https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224782534140 Quote
Owno Posted January 12, 2022 Posted January 12, 2022 Thanks, Dazed, but that is not the Mullarkey. I think that’s simply called the MM cause of the pickup. Quote
