stewblack Posted February 9, 2020 Posted February 9, 2020 Here's my rig for this afternoon's gig After a little bit more fiddling I worked out the best way to set the tone controls It's all in the buttons baby! This has gone from the rubics cube of bass set ups to the simplest. I have mid button out. Treble in. And bass in for some tunes (big fat dubby / subby stuff) and out for the rest. Magic. 2 Quote

stewblack Posted February 17, 2020 Author Posted February 17, 2020 By the way, this is not a joke post. I really do set it like this and use the buttons to fine tune it. It's brilliant. 1 Quote

Beer of the Bass Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 Does it run clean like that? Most amps that use a master volume would be getting pretty dirty with every preamp control maxed. Quote
stewblack Posted February 17, 2020 Author Posted February 17, 2020 Pretty clean yes. I suspect if I turned up a bit more it would have had more than a little hair on it, bit I couldn't turn it up. Would have been too loud. Quote

2elliot Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Wow. That looks extreme, but as the previous owner of one I can understand why. Wonderful sounding head... now turn the master up, I want to know what happens. Quote

FinnDave Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 What are the cabs, Stew? Obviously Barefaced singles, but…. I'd love a rig like that but last time I saw a CTM 100 in a shop, I tried to lift it and decided it was bolted down for security. It wasn't. 1 Quote
