ebenezer Posted February 10, 2020 Posted February 10, 2020 Thinking of pulling the trigger on the above....i like the idea of the graphite reinforced neck, 34 inch scale, 9.5 radius are they really as good as folk say?? Quote
ebenezer Posted February 17, 2020 Author Posted February 17, 2020 That good!!!.....think i will give that one a swerve Quote
Sibob Posted February 17, 2020 Posted February 17, 2020 (edited) They’re universally well-thought of I believe, I wouldn’t exclusively base your decision on one thread on the internet lol Si Edited February 17, 2020 by Sibob Quote
uk_lefty Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 Haven't touched the generation 2 models but the first gen was fantastic value for money. A better neck finish and various other improvements at the same price and you're laughing. Really good reliable, solid gigging instrument I think. Quote
Jonesy Posted February 18, 2020 Posted February 18, 2020 I played a 4 string in Andertons on Saturday and it was a lovely bass. It felt great and sounded good too, that preamp is a nice addition and isn't too complex to get your head around. The only reason I didn't pull the trigger is Anderson's customer service is a joke Quote
JottoSW1 Posted February 19, 2020 Posted February 19, 2020 Am loving my 5str - still getting used to wide-ish string spacing but overall amazing for price. Cheers to @whynot from this forum. Quote

Ive owned some high end jazzers. They are killer basses. The preamp alone is worth that high end Jazz bass tone. Edited February 19, 2020 by bubinga5 1 Quote
dave_bass5 Posted February 20, 2020 Posted February 20, 2020 Ive had a Gen 1 since they come out. Lovely bass. other than weight i cant fault it. I got a Gen 2 P7 last year and thought it was noticeably better. The neck was a bit improvement IMO. Very comfortable. Unfortunately it had a faulty bridge pup so it went back. Wouldn't hesitate to get another if i didnt have other options. Quote
Rik (ESA) Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 I've got a 5 string V7 for sale in the bass section if it's of interest! Great bass, I just can't handle a 5 string so back on a 4! Quote
lownote Posted February 22, 2020 Posted February 22, 2020 I've lost count how many I've had - 3? 4? I keep regretting selling them and buying another. Quote
