steviedee Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 Hi looking for a double gigbag recommendations, just for rehearsals for the back of the car. Save me carting around cases. Not wanting to spend a fortune but still want something decent. cheers Quote
CameronJ Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 Look at the Gator pro go dual bass bag - really solid and quite reasonably priced! Also, Andertons sell the Reunion Blues RBX double bag which looks good although I’ve never seen one in person. 1 1 Quote
Crawford13 Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 +1 for the Gator Pro Go X2. I have one and it’s a great gig bag. It’s an absolute steal for what you get. Quote
Lozz196 Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 Double gig bags are a young/strong bassists game - if you`re neither both or either don`t bother. I thought it would be a great idea and found it really wasn`t. Great idea on paper, foiled by middle-aged knackeredbackbassist syndrome. 1 2 Quote

I only use mine when I really need two basses... Quote
Muppet Posted February 16, 2020 Posted February 16, 2020 Another vote for the Gator Pro Go. It's only used for car to venue so I don't bother with the shoulder straps but in terms of convenience and protection, it's brilliant. Quote
steviedee Posted February 20, 2020 Author Posted February 20, 2020 Hi folks gator looks good and the Reunion Blues RBX also interesting pricier but lighter! I saw a Canto which I believe are made by Public Peace which looked good also. I'm literally walking 50 yards into the studio a few days a week just can't be bothered carrying cases! Quote
jimmy23cricket Posted February 21, 2020 Posted February 21, 2020 (edited) Gator Pro Go 2x every day of the week! Top quality item at a very good price. I actually want to be buried in mine...... Edited February 21, 2020 by jimmy23cricket Quote
Nickthebass Posted September 2, 2020 Posted September 2, 2020 (edited) I got a Mono double gig bag from Bass Direct many moons ago. Big thumbs up from me. Two basses + 900w head + 2 cabs now do able on my own in one trip. Got to love modern gear. 💃💃🥳 Edited September 2, 2020 by Nickthebass 4 Quote
steviedee Posted September 2, 2020 Author Posted September 2, 2020 I bought the mono, cant knock it really great quality. 2 Quote
Bassman68 Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 I have a Warwick double gig bag that must be over 10 years old now, It's put up with plenty of use & abuse. Zips are all holding up, with only a bit of fraying to the piping around the edges. When it's time to replace it, I will go for a Mono.. Quote
CameronJ Posted September 3, 2020 Posted September 3, 2020 I’ve posted this elsewhere but I’ll reiterate it here - if size/bulk is a consideration for you when looking for a double case, the Gator is significantly deeper and chunkier than the Mono dual. I took a photo of the two cases side by size at BassDirect a couple of years ago to illustrate the difference. Gator on the left, Mono on the right. Of course, if you aren’t worried about the extra bulk, the Gator is a great case with tons of protection for significantly less money than the Mono! 1 Quote
bazzbass Posted December 14, 2020 Posted December 14, 2020 (edited) I bought the Mono dual bag. 1) it only JUST fit in the taxi, took up the whole back seat. 2) two basses are REALLY heavy when you are old and have a bad back lol 3) I NEVER needed a backup bass before, and still don't Edited December 14, 2020 by bazzbass Quote
rushbo Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 I’ve used a Gear for Music case for about two years. They’re really robust and do the job for a very sensible price. The only drawback is that they don’t sit very comfortably on the shoulder, but if you use the handle, they work well. Quote
