NEW and have a question.

I'm new here (and to bass)

Currently have a Spector four string and combo amp thing (which sucks).

I'm always on the look out for new gear I recently saw an ad for a bass amp by Crate, does anyone know if Crate are any good??

Hi Dante - welcome to the forum - hope you enjoy it.

As regards Crate - I've never used them, or even heard one, but a number of people think they're good value for money. You may get further and more detailed feedback if you also post your query in the amps sub-forum, where lots of people solicit opinion on different brands.

There is probably a very good reason why Crate have dropped bass amps from their range...

I'm not convinced that they had a particularly good rep. Maybe look at others in a similar price range or consider 2nd hand off here....

I have the Crate BT 350 bass head,i love it.I've read somewhere that it shares some of it's internals with Ampeg and SWR heads.I like mine so much that I sold my Lmkll on the strength of it.The BT combo's also get excellent reviews.
