___---___
Yo. So I have purchased a Devi Ever Bass Fuzz. I LOVE the fuzz tones, but it isn't very controllable (by which I mean on muting the string(s) which is vibrating, there is still noise present). Would compression and/or noise gating help with this? Thanks in advance. X
bobbass4k
That's odd, one of the things i love about my devi ever cherry pop is that it's noise free. It's very high gain , and it's very noisy and sensitive when actually playing, but with no signal going in it's silent. If you turn the bass volume down all the way and there is still noise, then it's definitley the pedal, and compression or gating probably won't help, it's just a noisy circuit. If it's completely quiet with no signal going in then it's just high gain/very sensitive, and gating or compression will probably help, but you could try other things like turning the gain down and boosting the signal with a pedal later in the chain
