Paul S Posted February 29, 2020 Share Posted February 29, 2020 I would have loved to do this, I think it is such a great song. Tried it in a early band but the drummer didn't have the right touch. In my recently defunct covers band the drummer, who does, and I were pushing to do it but the guitarist ('band leader') said much the same - overplayed in the 80s - and steadfastly refused, even though we had been asked to play it several times. Actually this bass is a self built one (built with his Dad, like B. May), later rebuilt and upgraded by Vox Humana a Dutch builder. They also build his current Warhorse signature model, which is beautiful in it’s utter ugliness. A very friendly and approachable guy btw.
