silky13
Hey everyone! This question is for anyone who has had their bass set-up in Edinburgh! ... where do you go? And is there anywhere I should really avoid?! Cheers! Tom Edited February 8, 2009 by silky13

No idea what it was called but i still use the cable i bought there! Edited February 9, 2009 by EdwardHimself
rjb
Ah, I lived in Edinburgh for seven years at the end of the nineties/millenium. I do miss it - walking to work in the centre took 10mins from Bruntsfield. An easy place to live. Are Mev Taylor's still around? That was a good shop. EDIT: Yep, here they are. They seem to have moved further into traditional instruments since I was up there, but they still do repairs/setups. silky13
Cheers for your replies ... yeah I used to go to live music for my previous guitars, but my mate had a bad experience with the new tech there recently, so was just finding out if there was anywhere people recommended or anywhere where people had bad experiences so I can avoid! LukeFRC
Hey Mev is a great guy but talking to him he doesn't know that much about electronic instruments comparedto others. Live music/scayles Ive never used. Red dog is a great place but the tech guy is a grumpy so and so who is only there on certain days. I recommend and use guitarguitar. They are nice there. Delberthot
nowhere near edinburgh but I can set up your bass. I gave up on music shops years ago and set about setting up my own basses. I may be going through to Edinburgh today but if not could setup your bass for the cost of my train fare and lots of coffee.
