Happy Jack
We've seen this guy before. He's not nuts, he's using eBay as an extremely cheap form of advertising. That listing for "one pickguard screw" has probably cost him 50p but it has told several thousand vintage Fender enthusiasts that he is selling off vintage parts, and told them how to contact him. As if that wasn't enough, he now has BassChat pointing potential buyers at his site for no extra cost. Crazy? Like a fox.

The Bass Doc
[quote name='Hutton' date='Feb 9 2009, 10:48 AM' post='404105'] Come on now. This just can't be serious! Afraid this guy is serious - I've followed his ads for some time (just for laughs). I reckon he will sell each one of the screws separately @ £10 each but just wait till he gets to the last one! - the price will rocket because of it's uniqueness
Al Heeley
I asked him if there was any saving to be had for multiple purchases. He said there was only one being offered but he'd sell me a pack of genuine Fender ones for £36. I though I'd hold out for a pack of new ones. Seriously I question anyone that is that anal about having vintage screws on a vintage bass. Now bridge or pickups I can understand, but a pickgurad screw? D'oh. "Former President George Bush Sr. was shot down by the Japanese while flying an Avenger during World War Two. Their huge popularity presented a problem for Grumman and they had to contract much of the production out to General Motors Corporation. Grumman completely ceased production of the Avenger in December of 1943 and General Motors continued production. Of the 9836 Avengers built, 7546 came off of the assembly lines of General Motors."
