The seller just offered it to me for £100 but I have zero available bass funds 😡
Bassassin
Never had one, but some of the older Encores are apparently pretty decent. I understand some were the same as Fender's Sunn Mustang range, made in India. Never had a Sunn bass but have had 3 FMIC Sunn Strats, generaly the necks are very good, bodies good quality but hardware is where the corners were cut. Might be the same with this, gold or not! Bleat
I have an old Encore Coaster P bass from the 80's I think. It is Very well built. The pickup is one of the best I have heard , certainly in a so called "budget" brand instrument. It has through body stringing, weighs a lot, and one of the best P bass copies I have had. Mine is getting a new replacement 50's style Maple neck shortly. The one in the ad looks maybe a little more recent, but if its anything like the one I have, i.m.o. most definitely worth it. 🎸
oldslapper
I’ve owned a couple of these limited issue Encore P’s. Very solid build, pickups were pretty good too. Definitely worth £100.
hooky_lowdown
I've owned a few late 80s / early 90s Encore P basses, as others have said they are solid built, pickups and bridge are pretty decent, tuner's were the weak point, but easily replaced. All mine topped the scales over 10lbs. Very good value for money IMHO.
darkandrew
I'm going to go against the flow here I'm afraid. I had an encore guitar (not a bass) in the late 80s and it was almost entirely unplayable.
