Paul S
Utterly brilliant. That headstock/body combo looks better with either parent. Thinking outside the box!

Paul S
The detail I like the most is the routing around the edge of the headstock like the Thunderbird has but on the completely different Grabber shape - which in turn transforms it from a shovel into something more delicate. Absolute genius.
Iacopo San
Absolutely incredible, well done. I was just surprised not to see some pick action in the video, I think that bass demands that.
EliasMooseblaster
Looks amazing and sounds glorious! What a great idea. Is that humbucker an original Gibson pickup, or did you use somebody else's?

I'm a huge fan of those pickups.

I'm a huge fan of those pickups. Not come across those before, but it certainly sounds the business! It was the chrome cover that made me think it might not be a Gibson pickup - they seem to be an increasingly rare sight on modern T-birds.
Happy Jack
I do hope you've registered that Flame logo ... much nicer than the original.

I think the original is a masterpiece of design, as it happens. Art deco rendering of a bird, designed in keeping with the intended art deco style of the bass.

Well that would be difficult. The flame is an international warning sign. It doesn't belong to anyone really. I've been using it as a logo since I was a teenager, because I used to be a highly flammable little upstart. 😂 I'm more mellow now, but the flame stuck 😉 1

EliasMooseblaster
A well-deserved accolade for a beautiful piece of luthiery! It also linked me to an article about the Telebird you built previously. I hadn't seen that one before; it's a lovely idea, and it looks like something straight out of a '50s Rockabilly band.
