Basson B210B cab

Recommended Posts

Ok so you are probably bored with my medical history by now, so I'll spare you the details.

This is an amazing cab, full specs are here -

That's right, 500 watts at 4ohm, tuned down to a bowel moving 28hz. Just stunning. I regularly use this cab on it's own with the MesaBoogie 400+ and it sounds amamzing ( I play in a 9 piece soul/funk/disco corporate band ) and this cab has completely restored my faith in the 2x10 format.

It is by far and away the best 2x10 I have ever used or heard. It's bigger than most 2x10's but OMG it's worth it.

In very good condition with the optional castors ( you could put them on your car ), this is a stunning cab for only £200.

I've found it to cut through really nicely with my G&L 2500, but needed a very little tweak using my stingray ( both 5'ers btw ). You must remember this was using my Mesa/Boogie 400+, an amp not renowned for a pronounced mid range !!

If it was just a little bit smaller and lighter my arthritic joints would cope and I wouldn't be selling it at all. In fact if I could g'tee every load in was flat, I'd deffo keep it.

It's a killer cab.

I found it to be really flat and honest sounding, but quite power gungry. The specs on the site reccomend 500w minimum to drive it, and I was using the 400+ at about half in a loud funk metal band, wheras with the mesa cabinet I was on about two numbers less - but as Stu says the sound is incredible. Basson make their own drivers and playing through this cab really is like having a new instrument altogether!

£200 is a steal...
