JottoSW1
Hello All. John from Westminster. Been lurking here for a bit with the odd facetious comment. Returnee to Bass after a long hiatus, been playing again for 3yrs. Lefty initially with Squier VM Jazz, but accumulating some 5strs. An ancient but pristine Cort (amazingly good for peanuts money) Sire M2 (love it) 90's Aria Rsb from a German relative (weighs too much but great) and now today off E'bay a battered/roadworn Ken Smith Design Proto J for £175. No more bass purchases, but maybe a better Amp and more practice, graunchy 57 y/old body permitting! Kiwi
Welcome John, Westminster in London? How interesting! I know the area fairly well having worked in St James for a number of years.

Ricky 4000
Welcome to the club, John. I've been to London, where I was surprised to see so many squirrels in the park! However, I've been advised against taking my shotgun with me next time. 😬
Teebs
57 isn't old! I'd guess that you're one of the younger BC members! @Skinnymanhas just had his 100th (💯) birthday 🎂!

New Scotland Yard was on Broadway before they moved to The Embankment. I remember a very popular fish and chip place there that insults it's customers if they don't pick up their takeaway orders promptly. Is that near/close to Horseferry? Spondon frames were the coolest way of repairing a bent superbike in their day. I often wished I'd taken that route instead of reliable (boring) shaft driven 'bikes. They chomp through lots of produce (especially sweetcorn) along with the woodpigeons. Squirrels also eat fledgling songbirds so I fortify nestboxes.
