Nodd Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 So, having used Rotosound Swing Bass as one of my two main string choices since the 70's I ordered a set to complement my red/black burst Squier P, as they have red silks. I open the set only to find that they've been changed to Blue! Did I miss the memo? aaarrgh, OCD attack. Quote
Lozz196 Posted March 10, 2020 Posted March 10, 2020 Did you get nickels rather than steels, nickels have been blue silks since at least 2013. 1 Quote

Steels are still red. Nickles are blue. https://stargoat.com/products/rotosound-rs66ln-swing-bass-guitar-nickel-roundwound-strings-45-100 Quote
Nodd Posted March 12, 2020 Author Posted March 12, 2020 Ah, that'll be it then! thanks, I think that was, coincidentally, when I changed over to experimenting with different coated strings and then settled omn EB's mostly. Thanks Quote
