Just found this on Youtube.

I was doing a search for Mick Karn and discovered this little gem.

I think Del Palmer played on the original but Mick Karn just adds a whole new dimension to one of Kate's best non single releases.

The Princes trust was really a great idea. Where else could you see Mick Karn, Pete Townsend & Midge Ure together.

Wow!

Great line up...
Great song...
Lovely bass playing on a gorgeous Wal...
Beautiful Kate...

Anyone know how to get that tone on their Wal? I can get close but are there other tricks being used?

You're talking about the chorus used, or something else? The chorus is similar to the sound you can get out of most eighties japanese analogue delays - Yammie E1010/1005, Roland Space Echo etc. I really enjoyed the Princes Trust stuff, I've got the 86-90 concerts on DVD. I would love to have the early 80's ones too at some point.

Cor, Kate Bush.

Good song to boot, now if you don't mind, I'm going to go watch Running Up That Hill (w Gilmore), Comfortably Numb (KB w/ Gilmore), and both versions of Wuthering Heights on youtube!

Might even do a dash for Phantom Of The Opera.

Or how about Babooshka - with added bass content ;)
