Bafflegab
I picked up a good deal today, found this bass on Facebook marketplace for £35 It's nothing special, has a bit of rust on the bridge and pickup, a chunk of paint missing on the back (no problem as I want to relic it anyway), a bent tuner, and I suspect it's plywood or something similar. And the neck is fatter than I'm used to, but it's light and sounds decent. For £35 I'm happy enough! Harley Benton short scale P. I've already adjusted the truss rod quite a bit and changed the strings to my preferred ones (actually they're old ones that I took off one of my other basses a few weeks ago and didn't throw away!) naxos10
It's amazing what can be done with/to one of these. The one I have is fairly highly modified regarding pickup, string through, finish and still plays well above it's weight.
