OldGit Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Straplock? It's a washer, mate, and an ugly washer too eBay link "BasikLoc" could save your neck!!! Quote
Ou7shined Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Actually I think you'll find it's a "stainless steel retainer plate". Have you seen his toggle and shoelace "Quick Fit Headstock Connector"? Because I don't know about you but passing an acoustic guitar's strap over my head to put it on just isn't quick enough. Quote

Jean-Luc Pickguard Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Those look really crap. At screwfix you can get ten sets of straplocks for a quid, but they're sold as rubber shower hose washers, don't require a screwdriver to fit & look much better than those steel ones or red Grolschies. Also they don't cause the strap buttons to come unscrewed sending your bass southbound like schallers. Quote
Happy Jack Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Oi! Grolschies are THE business. Shower hose washers? Pah! Quote
Mr. Foxen Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Anyone stupid enough to buy those doesn't deserve money. Quote
ped Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 Quick chaps, he only has 10 available!! Obviously not very close to a B&Q then... Quote

Hamster Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I've PM'd him with a few questions about whether his straplocks could be used as a temporary measure to fix my garden gate to the wall with coachbolts Quote
bassaussie Posted February 12, 2009 Posted February 12, 2009 I like that the name can be spelled "BasicLok" or "BasikLok" - at least according to his ad!! He's gonna have to make a call on that when he patents this great invention! Quote

JDM Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 The "Hand crafted glass wine bottle guitar slide" gets my vote. It's amazing what can be done with an empty wine bottle, an angle grinder and a diamond tipped cutting wheel. Quote
