Actually I think you'll find it's a "stainless steel retainer plate". ;)

Have you seen his toggle and shoelace "Quick Fit Headstock Connector"?
Because I don't know about you but passing an acoustic guitar's strap over my head to put it on just isn't quick enough. :P

Those look really crap. At screwfix you can get ten sets of straplocks for a quid, but they're sold as rubber shower hose washers, don't require a screwdriver to fit & look much better than those steel ones or red Grolschies. Also they don't cause the strap buttons to come unscrewed sending your bass southbound like schallers.

I've PM'd him with a few questions about whether his straplocks could be used as a temporary measure to fix my garden gate to the wall with coachbolts ;)

The "Hand crafted glass wine bottle guitar slide" gets my vote.

It's amazing what can be done with an empty wine bottle, an angle grinder and a diamond tipped cutting wheel. ;)
