Here's my "rig"
It's literally the first ever bass cab they made, the amp is the 3rd ever actual product they made. Also i just found out something very interesting, apparently SWR have started making neo cabs ;)

And yeah it is a goliath I although it wasn't called that at the time of course :P

Amp only for me, the cabs are non-SWR. Does that count? ;)

An SM-900 that I bought late last year. The sound is to die for, and my amp GAS is currently stone dead.

Apologies for the truly shocking photograph.
This is my current SWR complement....including the Raven Labs posh DI. Now I just need a decent gig, so its worth lugging it all around!

Thanks for the comment....it really is a great set up. I've pretty much gone lightweight (Euphonic Audio) for most of my work, and when I think about it the basic sound of this old SWR gear is pretty similar to the "flat" sound of EA, as long as you don't go mad with the aural enhancer. And there is something about the sound of a heavy 4x10/poweramp that the "digital" stuff doesn't do....even though the power levels are roughly equivalent.

One scary thing. I was having a clearout a few days ago, and found an SWR leaflet/pricelist from 10 years ago when Rotosound were the UK distributors - this lot retailed for something over £2K (although the Tone Controls never had an official retail price?). I'm so glad it became unfashionable...and I could afford it used.

Haha i must admit i just put the thing on full! I just like the extra high end clarity of it, when it's on half though it does have an interesting boost in volume and gives some nice "old school" sort of mids. And yeah i mean when this rig was made in '86 it retailed for $1498, 21 years later i got it for £250.

Just spotted this thread, so here's one of my SWR rigs,

Since this was taken, I've added a second Goliath III (just waiting for a new chrome grill for it at the moment) so that I have the option of the 2 410's for the bigger rock gigs and the 410+115 for other stuff :)

Ooh, and I've also added a new kitchen for Mrs JPJ

JPJ, that's the way to do things, keep her sweet with the odd gift now and again so you can use it as ammo  Also you can't say you have more stuff and not post pics!

aphook that was very nice of your girlfriend! Mine is 400w as well.

wolleydick, very nicely done! I think that is the first ever product SWR ever came out with unless i'm mistaken.
SWR SM-1500 through a Goliath III and a Son of Bertha, I plan to extend it with another Goliath and Son of Bertha and run the two stacks stereo.

Set up for recording.

Just the 4x10 playing with Sylosis.
Great rig, i'm just listening to your band now it sounds pretty good, i see your singer is called Adam Jackson, that's not the Adam Jackson is it :) the bass sounds great on the recordings, too.

Well here's my rig.

Swr 350 (mk2?) and I think its a Triad 1.

Would ya believe Ive not gigged with it in over two years (and it got serviced just before its last outing doh!)
It was such a blast playing it live and I love the triad 3 way speaker setup
Its currently used as a key stand in my old flat. Such a shame Im not gigging for the forseeable.(Coming to a for sale site near you!)

Very nice!

I have a Triad, though a later version, and I love it.. Wouldn't mind another one though my back might complain! If you do ever decide to sell it, I might be interested...
