I know there are a few folk on here who are not in the Ric fan camp but I love mine and wanted to give it a New Wave / Power Pop early 80s vibe. Off came the white plastic to be replaced with black plastic, and I had already added the zero mod thumb rest and the bezel cover. I added the neon white strings a while ago too. It got loads of comments on Friday's gig and seems to be getting a lot of likes on Facebook and Instagram.... so here it is in its full glory.

Very nice CB, wouldn't mind doing the same to my Midnight Blue 4003. Wouldn't be as effective because of the white binding but still.  Could you give a heads up where you sourced the PG and TRC?

I've just changed the pickguard and truss rod cover to black on my 4003SW/5. Looks so much better.

That looks cool. I really like black plates on Ricks.

I would put a black scratchplate and TRC on my 4005 ("IT'S NOT A REAL ONE!"  "Shut up you.") but it's got white binding around the edge and the f? hole so wouldn't look right. 

Same with my 4001 ("THAT'S NOT REAL EITHER!" "What the hell is wrong with you?")
