Doctor J Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 There is a demented charm to these which I quite like. They’re like something out of one of Jim Moir’s (Vic Reeves) paintings 😂 300 quid, you say? 2 Quote
Beer of the Bass Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 Is that a five string bridge with four saddles on? Mr Philips would be proud of this innovation! 3 Quote
sockdeluxe_mikey Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 If this is a child who is 14 or 15...then fair play to him. Yes, they do look a little 'heath robinson', but there's absolutely no way I could have pulled off what he's done when I was his age. Could be the starting point of making some masterpieces in future 👍. 2 Quote
skej21 Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 I mean, come on... why buy a Squier when you could have one of these!? Quote

I'd certainly never have a go at him for making and playing them, but I would politely suggest that maybe he's not really ready to be offering his building skills as a service just yet. Could also be fraught if he's too young to enter into a contract with prospective customers, too. Quote
Jean-Luc Pickguard Posted March 17, 2020 Posted March 17, 2020 Judging by the look of these, this young builder is perhaps exhibiting the same Dunning-Kruger effect as a certain guitar improver who is not to be named (unless in biro on a headstock) if he thinks these are £300 instruments. Quote
