NancyJohnson
Look, I know these threads are a show-offy, vanity thing, but honestly, if I had to call on one bass that would be the go to, do it all instrument, it's the Lull. It's a forking monster, even more so since I installed the John East.

Yes, there are and will be some boutique type lovelies, but there have already been some cheaper, workaday instruments shared. This isn’t meant to be a porn thread, as far as I can see, it’s meant to be what it says in the title and, yes, some of them will be porn and some may wish to show off but, for the most part, I think folks are sticking with the spirit of it. Nice Lull BTW.

I have one of these for sale in the local 2nd hand shop. I'm going to bring it back, it's such a great instrument, and I'll have time to play with it over the coming months

Admittedly it didn't come with the DiMarzios, Schaller bridge, stack knobs or vulgar scratchplate. Ay ay ay. I'm not supposed to like A)Jazz basses or B) maple boards. But this? Yum.
paul_5
This bad boy: 2 piece ash body, fretless Jazz neck and round wounds. owes me the better part of £250.
kyuuga
My go-to and only bass at the moment (decided to get rid of all the others) is an '04 Musicman Stingray that I bought used for 800€ - it was virtually new, the old owner barely used it in all these years. Sounds thunderous, funky and precise with great clarity. It's a bit of a beast (~10lb) but it makes up for it in its gorgeous looks and tone. Looks hella great on stage as well if I may say so. 😅 Edited March 20, 2020 by kyuuga

PatrickJ
Since receiving my custom last month I've not touched another bass. I'm sure going to miss it whilst it's back with Jon for some tweaks.
rushbo
For the last 2-3 years, it's been this - one of my collection of mongrel bitsas. A Squier body (stripped and resprayed in rattlecan racing red) a Mexi Jazz neck, a Schaller bridge, one Fender pup, one Entwistle pup, Gotoh machine heads, and a Kiogon toggle switch and loom. It's strung with flats and is a dream to play and incredibly versatile. Edited March 20, 2020 by rushbo
Danuman
Here’s mine. It has some flaws, and it’s not at all versatile, but man, playing it is just so... easy. I love it.
TrevorR
My actual go to bass is this one... ...but the one I probably noodle on round the house most is probably this one... Faith Neptune Titan

baa
I have 16 basses, including a DB, but always go back to my first love: Vantage VP710B. I have 6 of those I have two tuned BEAD, one with flats and the rest are EADG. They are spread over two rehearsealspaces and my home. 7
