The Perfect Gear Sales Advert

There are a couple of threads running about some of the problems folks have with some ads on the forum, so in the interest of helping sellers secure that sale, what would you want to see to make the perfect advert?

If item is ok to be sent or collection/meet up only

Link to manufacturers full spec if possible

If it is a bass, I'd like to see some stats - weight, width of neck at the nut, spring spacing at the bridge.

Pictures. I much prefer sharp pictures to shaky and fuzzy ones. I also prefer clear pictures to dark and murky ones. If I can see sharp and clear together in one picture, that’s just super. I want to see the front and the back of the instrument. I want every part of the instrument to be visible across the sum of pictures posted. I also like pictures which clearly show any damage, marks or features mentioned in the blurb. I don’t need to see an artistic b&w picture of you, from a distance, playing the bass on stage, thanks 🙂

In a more serious vein, one of the first things I look for is location.

Most importantly. Put the price in the listing title. 

If it's out of my price range, There's a no point even looking.

I had a bass for sale on here, local collection only in London, and was pestered by a guy in Spain  that wanted it sent. Took quite a few messages and the sale to get rid of him.

My point is, some people wont care about what the seller puts
