alansanderson
Hey guys, how's it going Finally got my band's recording mixed and online, you can have a listen at www.myspace.com/weareshoshin For all the gear heads amongst you (admit it, I know you're out there) I used my Sandberg California JJ5 which is aged white with the tortoiseshell scratch plate, and a little mark 2 head for the bass sounds on this. Enjoy, thanks for checking it out! Alan PS if you prefer facebook look here... xilddx
Hello, I really like it, but I think it would benefit from some more punch in the mix. The vox would sound cool with a little dirty compression. The songs, the words and the image come over as forceful and confident, but the mix doesn't back that up, the mix sound a bit twee to my ears. Very cool looking singer. I reckon you should get someone to remaster it. Just my opinion, hope it's constructive. Only saying it because I think you've really got some potential there. alansanderson
Cheers man We know all the stuff that you said, so we definately agree with you! We had some problems with the recording which was done live and put some constraints on the mixing. Nothing we could do as we weren't paying, except pay a lot of money to get it done properly! Cheers for checking it out anyways
