AndyTravis Posted March 28, 2020 Posted March 28, 2020 @bnt if it was vintera I would’ve bought one. It’s American Vintage, meaning about £1500-1700 and not “cheap”. Quote

However, I also think I would like a two-pickup configuration, and right now the Sandberg-inspired (heh) Harley Benton Enhanced looks very good to me in the Natural finish: That is very tempting. I couldn't find anything that was trying to do the 'sandberg VM' thing so bought the real deal about two days ago instead. I'd be interested to see how one of those Harley Bentons plays as it may prove a useful backup. Any chance you fancy being Patient Zero for me and picking one up? Old Man Riva Posted March 28, 2020 Posted March 28, 2020 Not necessarily the best looking I’ve seen (that was a worn 1968 sunburst with pre TV logo and lollipop tuners) but I love this - it’s a Fender CS Masterbuilt currently at Peach Guitars (for an insane price). 2 Quote

The Vintera isn't as sparkly as this I think, though there are some great colour schemes on the Vinteras too. Quote

The OW P-Bass version looks great, btw! Quote

DarkHeart Posted March 29, 2020 Posted March 29, 2020 I quite like my Zebrano and Wenge bitsa, very organic in looks and feel. Quote

krispn Posted March 29, 2020 Posted March 29, 2020 Oh go on then... Same bass just a change of pick up. Shuker body with a PB70’s neck Lull TBird pick up (top pic) and a David Allen 1088p Reverse P in the bottom. The neck feels great and with flats feels amazingly smooth. I’ve never rubbed my hands in butter but I’ve heard it said... 2 Quote
Maude Posted March 29, 2020 Posted March 29, 2020 A few years ago Fender did a 60th anniversary edition P/J for Thomann which had a lovely violin burst. That was a stunner. Quote
