Thought it looked deep red but didn't want to say in case you said it was black. Even better now I know it's ruby red. 👍 1 Quote

la bam Posted April 3, 2020 Posted April 3, 2020 (edited) This is my fender fsr mij precision 60s reissue. You either like black and gold or you dont. I never ever liked black basses with gold until I saw it. Love them now. Also love the slightly orange sunburst g&ls and the tobacco burst with tort plates now I'm older. Eldon Tyrell Posted April 7, 2020 Posted April 7, 2020 I especially like this bass. A fitting name would be the "Smell the Glove" bass 😎 Quote

Eldon Tyrell Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 Here is another black beauty. I know, I know, it is again a PJ but aren't PJs also P's? Kind of a P bass plus/extra/deluxe? They are definitely not Js. Although, Duff McKagan's signature bass is a PJ and it is called a Deluxe Jazz Bass Special (on the headstock) and a Deluxe Precision Bass on the Fender website. Hmm. 1 Quote
prowla Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 Calling a PJ a P is taking the P... ...or is that adding the J? Quote
therealting Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 (edited) Is it about body shape or pickups? What about this? Is it a P? Edited April 23, 2020 by therealting Quote
OliverBlackman Posted April 23, 2020 Posted April 23, 2020 The answer is - whatever p bass Pino is playing. Quote

I'd normally say it's, for me, the pickup that denotes what bass it is, as the above will sound like a P. But the Aerodynes throw all that out the window. The Aerodyne Jazz and Aerodyne Precision both have PJ arrangement but the correct respective body shape. So Fender must think it's body shape, not pickups 1 Quote

vinorange Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 (edited) How about this little beauty I’ve just finished renovating. It’s an 85 USA P re-finished in Olympic white and finished off with an anodised pickguard. Edited April 27, 2020 by vinorange 6 Quote
AndyTravis Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 I’m bored, and i’m half watching Star Wars and half drinking wine. These P’s are 👌🏼 1 Quote
