Pearl Octaver pedal is buggered

Like it says, my Pearl Octaver pedal is buggered. It gives a very faint and scratchy signal. The jack sockets are clean, as are the pots.
Does anyone know of any pedal-fixing gurus who could have a look at it? It's a brilliant unit when it works, and I don't just want to consign it to the bin or stick it on a shelf to gather dust.

It's one of the classics. I wish someone would clone it.

I'm happy to take a look at it for you - although I'm an enthusiastic intermediate, rather than a guru. For guru you want the guys at the gig rig - but be prepared to pay guru prices

Oh yes, it's a superb pedal. It knocks the living sh*t out of the Boss octavers in terms of tracking and, well, everything.
