I stumbled across this just now and thought I’d share...

Not seen it before - and I’m still not sure how on earth he came up with it - but it made me smile all the way through!

I know it won’t be to everybody’s taste, but well worth a look as we find bass-related things to fill the time and get us through to the other side.

Keep well and (hopefully!) enjoy...

Thanks for that ^^; really refreshing after all these years. Talent..? The fellow had it in spades. RIP.

(The video can't be embedded, but the link ^^ works, and it's well worth the watch..!)

What a great player. Sad to lose him to ALS, like Mike Porcaro. RIP...

One of the best cover of this tune to date. What a player. Thanks for sharing this @Old Man Riva. May he rest in peace.

Yeah, great stuff from Victor.

I like this YouTube post...

"best bit is when someone decides to become the human trumpet at 5:25".

And Of course, it's Victor singing along. :D

Lee Sklar posted a link of Victor doing a visual over one of his Coltrane transcriptions. It goes without saying that Victor was a groove monster, but good lord, he had some serious chops!!

"Here I'm playing Coltrane's solo from Countdown. This is what I'm trying to teach at Berklee. Not the chops, but knowledge of music and how ALL music works on the instrument".
