Leonard Smalls
I remember being on security when Kajagoogoo played Leeds Uni in 1983... Don't remember any bass playing at all as we were so busy dragging girls who'd fainted out of the crowd. As soon as they recovered they'd run back only to faint again... TheGreek
I expected this to be a "Bash Nick Beggs" thread. Glad to see that he is held in some esteem by many...
gjones
My male pal really had the hots for the bass player in Kagagoogoo, after they first appeared on Top Of The Pops. He was really heartbroken when I told him the bass player was a guy.
spectoremg
One problem with Nick: the kilt wearing, specifically sitting down whilst wearing it. I'm not at all interested in what he's got up there 😣
Trav
Thread necromancy... Saw Nick play with Ellis Beggs and Howard in around '89 when they supported T'Pau. Liked EBH, pity the second album never came to fruition although it was made available through Nick's website for a while
4000
Saw him play stick with John Paul Jones (yes, that JPJ) in 1999. Great gig.

12stringbassist
There's a lot of us, I suspect, who would like to go back and give our younger selves a good slap. My ears would be ringing for years to come if I got the chance..
