OldGit Posted February 17, 2009 Share Posted February 17, 2009 Looking at a fairly well used Fender Bassman 20 valve combo. It's got a 12 inch goodmans replacement speaker .. Someone I know has one for sale and I'm getting into harpin' too and these bassman things seem to be popular with harpies ... It's bigger than my normal small gigs combo but the thought of a valve bassman is very GAS inducing .. There's no hum or other odd noises other thna a crunchy jack, but I suspect the valves have not been changed .. Will it need a £200 valve replacement and rebuild operation? What do you think?
