TheGreek Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Nicely grained, but could do with being refinished. Ideal for sending to @Andyjr1515 for a project bass. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Precision-Bass-Body-1980-Made-In-japan-Loaded/333562667955?hash=item4da9e263b3:g:VU0AAOSwaJFegkmD Quote

Quite a lot of time needed to true it all up, would need a real enthusiast who has time on their hands.... Quote

prowla Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 Looks like it might've been a bought blank which then had the routing done with a hammer & chisel. Quote

Both horns look as if they have been cut out with a blunt axe, even a bought blank would have a better contour (IMHO) Quote
therealting Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 Why has a channel been routed for the grounding wire, rather than drilled?! Quote

You usually need quite a long drill to get the right angle and given the rest of the corpse ( could not use the word body) looks as if it has been worked with only rudimentary tools, it may explain the channel ( I prefer to call it a scar) being hacked out. 2 Quote
Maude Posted April 1, 2020 Posted April 1, 2020 I still think this body is useable. But only once rotted down and used as a compost to help the growth of a new mahogany tree. 1 1 Quote
