I placed a "wanted" advertisement for a Musicman Stingray pickguard.

Martin responded with an offer to [b][i]give [/i][/b]me a spare guard he had. Dispite my offers to pay for it and for the postage Martin posted it to me at his own expense.

I don't know what more to say about this except that I hope I can return the generousity to Martin and the general basschat community.

Met up with MB1 the other day for a roadside deal.
I was wearing a trilby and had a rolled up newspaper under my arm so he could recognise me.
The secret code word was used and the carrier bagged item was exchanged for cash, we both then went our separate ways.

On a less serious note Martin was a great guy to deal with and i would not hesitate to deal with him again.

Maybe forget the false moustache and flower on the lapel next time

Had the pleasure of trading with Martin today. He drove all the way from Manchester to Warwick for the deal, too. We sat, had a cuppa and natter on all things bass, and I've come away with a really tasty US Fender PJ, which I'm really happy with.

Top man all round. Pretty sure we'll trade again in the future, particularly if I can rid him of his irrational dislike of all things Fender

Martin drive approximately 12 millions miles all the way from Manchester to Essex to collect my Markbass 106CL cab, a smooth transaction was had just like 10 years ago when he drove 12 millions miles to collect my other cab! No issues here, deal with confidence when dealing with Martin.
