Actually until you posted that big picture I always thought the bass in your avatar was shot with a funny lens, but I suppose it's the body-lengthening effect of only having a 20-fret neck.

I think it's probably a fashion thing, like headless basses were in the '80s. Some people will continue to play them, but they'll always be a small proportion of the bass market.

That was the problem - not all mine did,
So it was time to get a Bass made that did.
As it happens mine is only a Jazz Bass style with the top cut filled in.
Same neck profile as the Marcus Miller 5 .

I like singlecuts. I even designed one a while ago. I'd scan it in for you all to see and judge, but i don't have a scanner. Looking at it now, its quite rough, but with work it could be something special. The Spear looks pretty good as well, but a bit awkward and very chunky.
