lowdown Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 I know you all hate SC's.. But my one just sounds great, plays great, Sits great, Balances great... I must admit i was a bit anti before i tried one. Fits in My Volvo estate as well. Garry Quote
GreeneKing Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Most singlecuts remind me of a Sperm Whale, the MM included. My avatar on the other hand is the way to do it methinks. Peter Quote

Actually until you posted that big picture I always thought the bass in your avatar was shot with a funny lens, but I suppose it's the body-lengthening effect of only having a 20-fret neck. I think it's probably a fashion thing, like headless basses were in the '80s. Some people will continue to play them, but they'll always be a small proportion of the bass market. Quote
That was the problem - not all mine did, So it was time to get a Bass made that did. As it happens mine is only a Jazz Bass style with the top cut filled in. Same neck profile as the Marcus Miller 5 . GreeneKing Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 You Sir have taste, and all of it good Peter Quote
Jarhead Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 I like singlecuts. I even designed one a while ago. I'd scan it in for you all to see and judge, but i don't have a scanner. Looking at it now, its quite rough, but with work it could be something special. The Spear looks pretty good as well, but a bit awkward and very chunky. Zach Quote
